South Korean professional service provider Metanet Co. will take over the Korean subsidiary of global professional services company Accenture Plc to explore new business opportunities.

Metanet said on Monday that it signed a contract to acquire shares in Accenture Korea, allowing it to take over Accenture Korea’s operation and its entire assets. The professional service provider will complete the acquisition process by the end of this month and decide on integrating the organizations of the two firms in the near future, said the company. Metanet aims to leverage Accenture Korea’s global network and expertise to unearth new business service opportunities.

Established in 2000, Metanet is information technology consulting service provider. Its affiliates include IT service providers Daewoo Information System Co., Metanet SNC, and Comas Inc. The company expects to post full-year sales of 800 billion won ($683.9 million) this year.
