By the end of this year, Samsung Pay, mobile payment service of South Korea’s electronics behemoth Samsung Electronics Co., will be available in 10 countries across the world as the company plans to launch the service in Russia, Thailand and Malaysia within this year.

The company revealed such global launching plan for Samsung Pay at the Money 20/20, a leading payments and financial services conference, held in Las Vegas on Tuesday (local time).

It also said it plans to offer the simplified online payment service of Samsung Pay, which was first introduced in Korea this year, in other countries. Starting with the United States next year, the company aims to make the simplified online payment and express checkout solution available through its digital payment service Masterpass in foreign countries.

Beginning in November, Samsung Pay users will be able to use new features in the United States, including support for in-app payments and discounts and coupons for nearby stores and restaurants.

The company said Samsung Pay’s cumulative payments topped 2 trillion won ($1.76 billion) in processed transactions as of August within a year after its launch in Korea.
