Korea ranks 5th on World Bank’s ease of doing business report

Korea ranked fifth among 190 countries in the 2016 “Ease of Doing Business Index” that measures business-friendly environment on simpler regulations and stronger protection for fair trade, a notch down from last year’s place.
It trailed New Zealand, Singapore, Denmark, and Hong Kong. Korea topped among the Group of 20 members, beating the U.K. (7th), the U.S. (8th) and Japan (34th).
