E-Land’s footwear brand Shoopen opens its 1st store in Malaysia

South Korea’s fashion behemoth E-Land Group said Sunday that it was branching out from China to the Southeast Asian market opening fast-fashion footwear label “Shoopen” store in Malaysia.

E-Land Group and Malaysia-based Parkson Group jointly opened Shoopen’s first outlet in Fahrenheight88 shopping mall in Jalan Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on Oct. 1. The district where the mall is located is one of the busiest shopping districts in the country with a large floating population.

Shoopen occupies two full floors with a combined floor area of 1,150 square meters, and over 2,000 shoes and accessories manifesting the latest in trends are displayed.

Launched in April 2013, Shoopen runs 43 outlets in Korea, three in China, one in Hong Kong and one in Malaysia. It plans to open another store in Putrajaya, Malaysia in November.
