Hanwha Group on Monday in a reshuffle of its top executives made earlier than usually promoted Keum Choon-soo, head of the group’s management and planning office, to vice chairman.
Keum was credited for his feats in mergers and acquisitions. He led major M&A deals in solar power, chemical, and defense sector.
Cho Hyeon-il, head of the group’s legal team, would be taking Keum’s previous position at the management and planning office.
Lee Min-seok, head and senior executive director at Hanwha Chemical Corp. was promoted to vice president and moved to head Hanwha Corp. trade division. Lee Sun-suk, head and senior executive director of Hanhwa Advanced Materials Corp. was promoted to become vice president. Lee Man-sub, senior managing director at Hanwha Techwin Co. was named to head the firm’s security division. Kim Kwang-sung, managing director at Hanwha Life Insurance Co., was promoted to senior managing director to lead Hanwha 63 City Corp.
