The union of the South Korea’s largest automaker Hyundai Motor Co. launches into yet another strike this week with little progress in annual wage negotiations.

The unionized workers will go on the strike for eight hours on Wednesday, 12 hours on Thursday and eight hours on Friday. “We will fight hard until the management accepts our demands,” the union said in a statement.

The union and management of the carmaker had struck a provisional wage contract but a majority of about 80 percent of the workers voted against the deal in late August, and the three rounds of negotiations since then all broke down. The two will hold the fourth wage talk on Friday.

Hyundai Motor union has carried out 16 rounds of walkouts since this year’s wage negotiation began on May 17. The company estimates the production disruption has cost it about 1.85 trillion won ($1.65 billion) in losses.
