South Korea’s Construction Workers Mutual Aid Association invested about 36 billion won ($32 million) in an aircraft run by the Japanese largest airline All Nippon Airways (ANA) Co.
According to the investment and financial industry on Sunday, the association made the investment through mezzanine financing in partnership with JB Asset Management Co. in a Boeing B777-30ER that is leased to ANA on a 10-year term and flying between Haneda to Frankfurt. The investment is expected to generate 8 percent annual returns including interest income and a possible sale of the plane.
Market experts believe that it is a reliable investment as the aircraft is leased to ANA that boasts high credit worthiness and also has partial stake in the plane.
