LG V20, the latest premium smartphone to be unveiled by South Korea’s LG Electronics Inc. next week, will be the world’s first mobile device to feature Google’s new In Apps search mode, the company said on Wednesday.

In Apps allows users to search across contents of all applications that are installed in their smartphones, enhancing usability and convenience. For example, if a user enters a keyword into the In Apps search box, he or she will be provided with a list of contents related to the keyword from applications including e-mail, address book, messages, YouTube, and more. Users can also directly access the In Apps search box via a shortcut route even whilst watching a video. They only need to set the feature as one of the frequently-used applications on their display to activate it.

LG Electronics has been enhancing its ties lately with United States tech giant Google Inc. to introduce new features to its smartphones as part of efforts to increase its share in the global smartphone market. The company recently decided to apply Google’s latest operating system Android 7.0 Nougat to LG V20 for the first time among smartphone makers in the world. The company is slated to hold an unpacking event of its latest V20 smartphone in San Francisco on Tuesday and in Seoul on Wednesday.
