Home price in S. Korea averages over $2.7 million as of Aug

According to KB Kookmin Bank Tuesday, the prices of apartments averaged 310 million won, detached houses 340 million won, and row houses 173 million won.
Housing price in Seoul averaged 510 million won. The average price of detached houses exceeded 700 million won this month for the first time in history. It rose 3.1 million won from 698 million won last month to reach 701 million won in August.
Across the country, the average home transaction price gained 0.64 percentage point so far this year. Apartments were traded above the average, up 0.65 percentage point, while the sale prices of detached and row houses came below the average of 0.55 percentage point and 0.53 percentage point, respectively.
