LG V20 to offer premium sound system with B&O PLAY

The smartphone maker said on Wednesday its upcoming LG V20 smartphone will feature a sound system that it developed in partnership with B&O PLAY, a unit of high-end audio system maker Bang & Olufsen. It will also offer new and sleek earphones that it developed together with B&O PLAY to deliver excellent sound experience to its new smartphone users.
The Korea tech company earlier had co-developed the Hi-Fi Plus audio module with B&O PLAY for its strategic G5 smartphone.
It is a “wonderful opportunity” of Bang & Olufsen to showcase the “audio technology, design excellence, and user-centric philosophy” that it accumulated over the past 90 years to the LG V20 users, said Henrik Taudorf Lorensen, president of B&O PLAY.
“A growing number of consumers expect a better audio experience from their smartphones than what has been available in the past,” said Juno Cho, president of LG Electronics’ Mobile Communications division. LG V20 will offer the offer the best-in-class audio functions, said Cho.
