South Korea’s Eulji University said Tuesday that it will build a hospital in Bangladesh under the Korean government’s official development assistance (ODA) program.

The hospital will be affiliated with Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) in Dhaka, the capital and largest city of Bangladesh.

Once the hospital is complete by 2019, BSMMU will become the largest medical facility in the country.

Eulji University will not only build the hospital but also help run the facility by offering the technology and staff training.

The project is estimated to cost $130 million, biggest Seoul government spending to build medical infrastructure in poorer countries.
