U.S. premium burger joint Shake Shack that has first landed in South Korea last month with a splash is readying for its second opening in the country within this year on the back of the craze that has led scores of people to line up for long hours for a bite.

According to the real estate industry Tuesday, its Korean operator SPC Co. recently signed a contract to lease a building nearby Dosan Park in posh Cheongdam-dong neighborhood in southern Seoul for the second location of the U.S. burger brand. The burger joint is expected to be ready for opening around November.

For a month since its first opening on July 22 nearby Gangnam Station in southern Seoul, the New York burger chain has sold about 90,000 burgers and drew 3,000 visitors a day on average. Earlier customers had to line up for over seven hours to get a burger.

The restaurant still attracts more than 3,000 customers a day, according to an unnamed official at SPC. The wait time dropped somewhat from the first month, but more than 100 people on average wait in a long queue despite the scorching heat.
