South Korea’s state-run National Pension Service (NPS) assigned VIG Partners, Skylake Investment, Lindeman Asia Investment and SG Private Equity to run its private equity fund (PEF) in the scale of 700 billion won ($607 million).

The fund operation office of NPS announced on Wednesday that it chose VIG Partners and Skylake Investment as operating companies for PEFs investing in large-sized companies with more than $10 billion in market capitalization and Lindeman Asia Investment and SG PE to manage separate funds devoted to smaller-cap companies.

The NPS is expected to allocate 250 billion won each in VIG Partners and Skylake Investment and 100 billion won each in Lindeman Asia Investment and SG PE.

Previously, the state-owned organization had announced in March that it would launch PEF and invited bidders to manage the funds on May 13. Early this month, the organization shortlisted candidates through eligibility evaluation and it carried out due diligence and presentation test for the candidates.

The NPS will also name companies to run venture fund worth 250 billion won early July.
