South Korean President Park Geun-hye will tour Africa on May 25 and visit France on June 1 to hold a summit meeting with French President Francois Hollande.

Her state tour will start with Ethiopia from May 25 to 28, then Uganda from May 28 to 30, and followed by Kenya from May 30 to June 1. She makes her last stop at France for a three-day visit. She will be the first Korean President to visit Uganda, and it will be Korea’s first state visit to Kenya in 34 years since the last visit was made by former President Chun Doo-hwan in 1982. During the trip, President Park will meet with Ethiopian Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn, Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni and Kenyan President Uhura Kenyatta and discuss ways to improve bilateral ties.

In Paris, Park will meet with her French counterpart Hollande for talks on a wide range of issues including creative economy, culture, education tourism, North Korea’s nuclear problem and other global agendas and other global issues, and celebrate 130th anniversary of diplomatic ties between the two countries.
