South Korea’s medium-sized tech company Foryou Digital Co. has successfully made forays into the European market with its Windows-based tablets.

The company announced on Monday that it signed a 5 billion won ($4.4 million) contract with French electronics company Thomson Multimedia S.A and a 10 billion won contract with another French company Mpman to supply its products this year. The company also concluded deals with Canadian and Russian companies, while inking a contract worth 2 billion won with Lotte Himart Co. at home.

“Since we were selected as a device partner of Microsoft in 2013, it has been easier for us to work together with large retail companies,” said Foryou Digital CEO Karl Choi.

Starting as an MP3 manufacturer in 2001, Foryou Digital successfully transformed into a Android-based tablet producer in 2011 and turned its eyes to the Windows-based tablet market in 2013.

Thanks to cooperation with Microsoft, sales of Windows-based tablets account for 60 percent of total tablet sales of Foryou Digital. The company has sold tablets under its own brand iMuz.
