LGFriends.com is open to assist LG Electronics’ G5 users

South Korea’s LG Electronics Inc. launched website lgfriends.com on Monday to promote its new premium smartphone G5 and its modular accessories, so-called “LG Friends,” that made a huge splash when first revealed during this year’s Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain.

The site allows current and prospect users of the G5 to learn more about specifications of each modular device, such as LG CAM Plus, Hi-Fi Plus, 360 VR, 360 CAM, and Tone Platinum to Rolling Bot, and make purchases on the site.

The site also offers direct links to different online stores to allow consumers from various countries to check promotional events and buy the G5 and accessories at the online store - for now online stores at Korea, the U.S., U.K and United Arab Emirates (UAE) are available. The South Korean electronics giant plans to add more e-commerce links from other countries to the site and allow partner companies or individuals to sell their own inventions of modular accessories for the G5.

The site visitors will also be able to find a community platform, so-called “Playground,” where they can share reviews and useful application tips of the “LG Friends.”

Meanwhile, LG Electronics hosted a developer conference in San Francisco on Apr. 15 (local time), attended by about 200 developers and its partner companies, including Google Inc. and Parrot S.A.
