Lazard Asset Management picked as Best Korean equities manager by AsianInvestor

U.S.-based Lazard Asset Management LLC was awarded Best Korean equities manager title under the small fund category by AsianInvestor, the leading asset management industry publication in the region.

According to AsianInvestor, Lazard Korea equity fund outperformed its rivals with the return on its investment reaching 27.95 percent last year. Over the same period, the country’s benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index (Kospi) offered a 2.39 percent return.

AsianInvestor also picked Shinyoung Asset Management Co. as Best Korean equities manager under the large fund house category and Schroder Investment Management Ltd. as Best international equities manager.

Mirae Asset Global Investments Co. was awarded both Best international fixed-income manager and ETF manager of the year, while Baring Asset Management Ltd. earned Best Korean fixed-income manager and Samsung SRA Asset Management Co. for Best alternatives manager.

AsianInvestor held the sixth AsianInvestor Korea Awards this year.
