Samsung C&T Corp., the construction arm of Samsung Group, said on Tuesday that it won an order worth 833.61 million Singapore dollars ($610 million) to build subway tunnel and station in Singapore.
Under the contract, Samsung C&T will be building 1.2-km long underground tunnel connecting Xilin Avenue in southeastern Singapore and a subway station at Singapore’s Thomson Line T313 section.
Earlier, the Korean construction company had successfully carried out seven subway and two underground expressway construction projects in Singapore, leading it to win the latest order in the country that is also expected to help the Korean company to solidify its foothold in the Singaporean construction market, said an unnamed Samsung C&T official.
