Hyundai Rotem Co., South Korea’s leading rolling stock manufacturer, signed a contract worth about 232 million New Zealand dollars ($155 million) with city of Wellington, New Zealand to provide train repairs and maintenance services, the company disclosed on Friday.

Under the contract, Hyundai Rotem will repair and maintain trains travelling suburb lines of Wellington for 15 years starting July this year. This project is the largest in value among the similar projects the company has landed on since its foundation. Prior to this, the Korean manufacture provided 96 train units in 2007 and additional 70 units in 2013 for the city of Wellington.

Hyundai Rotem picked train repairs and maintenance service as its new growth engine and secured a 44.7 billion train repairing and maintenance project in Ukraine in June last year.
