South Korean oil refiner S-Oil Corp. said on Thursday that it presented certifications to eight outstanding suppliers in the materials and service sectors on Wednesday.
The top three companies in the materials sector are Handok Carbon, Daeyoung Machinery, and Daeshin Networks. In the service sector, DNI Tech, John Cockerill Hamon, Plus Heavy Electric, Emro, and Huentek were honored for their contributions.
S-Oil has been operating its Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) system since 2010, aiming to foster sustainable growth alongside its partner companies.
S-Oil, in the meantime, demonstrated its commitment to social responsibility by donating 85 million won ($65,000) to the Korea National Council on Social Welfare.
The contribution is earmarked for the treatment of children from low-income households with congenital choledochal cysts.
The donation was made possible by the collective effort of about 1,800 S-Oil employees, who voluntarily contributed a portion of their monthly salaries, each donating less than 10,000 won.
