Hyundai, Kia EVs sweep 48 awards in 13 countries

Hyundai Motor Group’s electric vehicles (EVs) have been making waves globally, securing a whopping 48 awards across 13 countries in the past six months, the auto giant announced on Tuesday.

Leading this triumphal march of Hyundai Motor Group’s EVs is the EV9, Kia Corp.’s large electric sport utility vehicle (SUV).

The EV9 swept a total of 17 categories, including the 2024 North American SUV of the Year, 2024 German Luxury Car of the Year, and 2023 Top Gear Family Car of the Year.

Hyundai Motor Co.’s Ioniq 5

Hyundai Motor Co.’s first dedicated EV, the Ioniq 5, claimed the top spot in eight categories, including 2024 Singapore Car of the Year and 2024 India Car of the Year - Green Car.

Hyundai Motor’s Ioniq 6 secured victories in seven categories, including the 2024 German Car of the Year - New Energy among others.
