LG Electronics Inc. will introduce mycup, a tumbler cleaner, at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2024, a new product lineup that highlights its commitment to environmental protection.
LG Electronics on Wednesday announced plans to unveil the cleaner for the first time at CES in January in Las Vegas, the United States. The product integrates LG Electronics’ advanced technology from its DIOS dishwasher line and embodies the company’s environmental, social, and governance (ESG) strategy.
The tumbler cleaner offers two cleaning courses tailored to various customer needs. Both modes utilize high-temperature water at 65 degrees Celsius to thoroughly clean tumblers.
Customers can opt for the express course for quick cleaning within 30 seconds or choose the thorough course for a more meticulous wash and dry process.
LG Electronics actively incorporated customer feedback into the product’s design and appearance.
“In response to customer suggestions for comprehensive cleaning, we integrated multi-directional cleaning wings that target not only the tumbler’s interior but also its exterior and lid,” a company official said.
The sleek design was adopted to cater to business-to-business (B2B) customers, focusing on space efficiency.
To support this innovation, LG Electronics has been piloting the mycup in various settings such as cafes, offices, and universities.
Some Starbucks locations have been testing the mycup since last year. LG Electronics aims for an official launch of mycup in the first half of next year.
