Hyundai Motor Group’s U.S. Urban Air Mobility (UAM) company, Supernal, will participate in the upcoming CES 2024 to be held in Las Vegas in early 2024.
Supernal plans to unveil teaser images of its new UAM aircraft and present its strategic vision for the future of Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) at the event. The vision encompasses aspects such as aircraft operations and Supernal and Hyundai Motor Group’s roles in the broader AAM ecosystem, including the vertiports (vertical takeoff and landing ports) serving as UAM airports.
The company will also display an actual-scale model of the UAM aircraft, currently under development and targeted to be commercialized by 2028, at the event.
The UAM aircraft was the result of a collaboration between Supernal and Hyundai Motor-Kia’s Global Design Division. While Supernal led the engineering and integrated aircraft design, Hyundai Motor-Kia’s Global Design Division managed the interior and exterior styling under the leadership of Luc Donckerwolke, vice president of Design and CCO (Chief Creative Officer) at Hyundai Motor Group.
