Genesis unveils G80 facelift after nearly 4 years

Genesis, a luxury car brand of South Korean auto giant Hyundai Motor Group, on Wednesday debuted the design of the facelift for its flagship sedan G80.

The facelift enhances the competitiveness of the 3rd-generation model released in March 2020, marking a modification after nearly 4 years.

G80 adds sophisticated and ornate details to the existing model, reflecting Genesis’ design philosophy of athletic elegance.

Notable changes include the adoption of a dual-mesh radiator grille at the front and the incorporation of micro lens array (MLA) technology within the dual-line headlamps, ensuring impressive illumination from smaller lamps.

Evident from the side view is the introduction of the 5 Double Spoke type 20-inch wheels, evoking the image of airplane propellers.

The rear design features a hidden-type muffler integrated into the diffuser, offering a streamlined appearance.

The interior design adopts a concept that merges Korean minimalism with a high-tech sensibility. It includes a horizontal layout, emphasizing comfort and a clean ambiance, complemented by a 27-inch integrated wide display.

Genesis also revealed the image of the G80 Sports Package, incorporating dynamic internal and external elements, optimizing agility and dynamism as a high-performance and sports sedan.

Both the G80 and G80 Sports Package come with a range of 10 exterior colors, including the new Brooklyn Brown, and 4 interior colors.
