Bodyfriend opens flagship store in New Jersey to solidify U.S. presence

South Korean massage chair manufacturer Bodyfriend Inc. opened a flagship store in New Jersey, USA, as part of its entry into the eastern region of North America, according to a statement from the company on Monday.

The store will allow customers to test the company’s massage chairs that offer a variety of health benefits, the statement added.

With its new flagship store in Fort Lee, New Jersey, Bodyfriend was able to establish a sales network running from the U.S.’ West Coast to the East Coast after it made inroads in the country six years ago. “We previously provided services for Korean customers living in the western U.S., but now plan to expand our customer base to include Americans as well,” the company said.

With its proximity to New York, New Jersey has the second-largest population of Koreans in the United States, and Bodyfriend expected its Fort Lee store to play a pivotal role in helping the company secure a larger market share in the country.

The store, called Fort Lee Lounge, boasts a two-story layout, offering a generous 185 square meter space for customers to test and buy Bodyfriend’s flagship products. The collection showcased includes Falcon, a premium massage chair model, Leonardo DV featuring body composition analysis, and massage sofa Familie. The store’s second floor is strategically designed as a workspace to optimize the company’s capability to expand business areas.
