South Korean mobile carrier LG Uplus Corp. on Tuesday unveiled a mobile Internet TV (IPTV), the U+tv Free 4 LE, marking the sixth of its kind based on LG Electronics Inc.’s Ultra Tab.
U+tv Free 4LE is equipped with a 10.4-inch screen and quad speakers, two on each side. It can be used for work and learning by using a Wacom stylus pen and a wireless keyboard integrated into the cradle case.
It has been certified by the U.S. Department of Defense as a military standard.
The device also offers a child protection mode, allowing access to the Kids Land service exclusively for children, and a vision protection mode that blocks blue light.
Subscribers of the U+tv Premium plan and U+ Internet plans with speeds of 1gigabyte (GB) or more can use the service for 6,600 won ($5.02) per month in 36-month installments.
