LG Uplus Corp. announced a collaboration with PlayMonkey, a local startup that began as the telecom company’s in-house venture and was spun off in July 2023, in a move to innovate its content and services for kids. LG Uplus said on Sunday it is particularly focusing on enhancing kids’ content experiences.
PlayMonkey operates an “Online Live Playground” targeting children aged 5 to 9, fostering a joyful and engaging online space. This playground is oeprated via online video platform Zoom on its website, providing play content for children.
Through the agreement, LG Uplus will provide competitive content from its dedicated kids’ service ‘Kids Land,’ which boasts a collection of over 60,000 content pieces related to reading, learning, and play. PlayMonkey, in turn, will allow children to access content through its Online Live Playground. The company is also planning various interactive activities, including quizzes and encouraging fun expressions, allowing children to utilize Kids Land content in multiple engaging ways.
