IMM PE promotes Kim Eugene as its first female partner

South Korean private equity firm IMM Private Equity (PE) promoted Kim Eugene, managing director of operations, and Yoo Hun-suk, managing director, to vice president.

The promotion has led Kim to become IMM PE’s first female partner.

Kim joined the equity firm in 2009 and has since earned recognition for her adept handling of corporate crises, including those involving Able C&C Co. and Hanssem Co., in addition to the sale of KG Hollys F&B Co.

Kim was named as the new chief executive officer of Hanssem in August and under her leadership, the furniture manufacturer managed to swing into profit without labor restructuring.

Yoo was recognized for his pivotal role in IMM PE’s sale of a minor stake in AirFirst.Co., an industrial gas supplier.
