KAIST, South Korea’s top engineering university, announced that an opening ceremony of the Graduate School of AI Semiconductor was held at its Daejeon campus on Tuesday. The graduate school already commenced semester this fall and currently hosts 12 students in master’s and doctoral programs. KAIST aims to produce 150 talents over the next five years.
The Graduate School of AI Semiconductor operates a curriculum focusing on three major areas: chip circuit and architecture design for AI acceleration, technological development and operational frameworks for AI semiconductors, and pioneering research in neuroscience-based approaches for ultra-high-speed, high-efficiency, and large-scale AI.
The graduate school engages in collaborative research endeavors with prestigious domestic and international universities and corporations. Moreover, it offers internship programs in partnership with Silicon Valley companies such as Meta, Google, and Apple, fostering valuable practical experiences for students.
