CJ CheilJedang launches seasoned Gourmet Sobaba Chicken

South Korea’s CJ CheilJedang Co. announced Monday that it is releasing two types of seasoned Gourmet Sobaba Chicken, a frozen fried chicken product that raised over 50 billion won ($37.3 million) in sales in just 8 months after its launch last year.

The seasoned variety, which comes in boneless chicken and chicken wing types, follows the success of its soy honey flavor.

Gourmet Sobaba Chicken is seasoned with CJ CheilJedang’s unique sauce coating method. This method ensures that the sauce is thinly and uniformly coated, eliminating the typical stickiness of frozen chicken while maintaining a crispy texture reminiscent of freshly fried chicken.
