7-Eleven launches ‘Tasty Jang-woo Convenience Food Series’

7-Eleven said on Monday that it will debut the ‘Tasty Jang-woo Convenience Food Series,’ created in collaboration with actor Lee Jang-woo, on March 19th, 2024. Lee, who is known for his love for food that was showcased on various television programs, was selected by 7-Eleven earlier in the month as the brand ambassador for 2024’s convenience food models.

The lineup to be introduced includes three varieties of Tasty Jangwoo lunchboxes (“Gochujang Bulbak,” “Tonkatsu & Kimchi Jeyuk,” and “Jeonju Bibimbap”), as well as five varieties of gimbap (seaweed rice rolls) and triangular gimbap.

The convenience store boasts high quality and generous portions for these products, prepared under Lee Jang-woo’s name.

7-Eleven is offering a 30 percent on-site discount for purchases of Tasty Jangwoo series products with Lotte Card until the end of March 2024. Customers who purchase the Tasty Jangwoo lunchbox series and gimbap can also receive a complimentary bottle of ‘Seven Select’ water until March 26th.

The company saw about a 40 percent increase in sales of lunchboxes, triangular gimbap, and gimbap in 2023 compared to the previous year. Sales increased by about 25 percent from January 1st to March 17th, 2024, compared to the same period in 2023.
