Korean Air Lines Co. announced on Monday that it will expand its international passenger routes to the United States, China, Europe, and Southeast Asia in line with the summer season schedule, which begins on March 31st, 2024.

The summer schedule for 2024 will run for approximately seven months, from March 31st to October 26th, in accordance with the regulations of the International Air Transport Association (IATA).

The Korean flagship carrier plans to resume operations to four cities in Southeast Asia, China, and Europe under the summer schedule.

The airline will operate flights between Busan and Bangkok daily from April 25th, 2024. The route will be resumed for the first time in nearly four years after being suspended due to Covid-19 and will be operated using a Boeing 737-900ER model with a total of 173 seats (8 prestige seats and 165 economy seats).

The Incheon- Zhengzhou route will resume operations on April 24th with a scheduled frequency of four times a week and the Incheon- Zhangjiajie route will operate three times a week from April 23rd.

Korean Air Lines said that it will continue to pursue additional operations on various routes as travel demand between Korea and China gradually recovers.

The frequency of flights on the Incheon-Bangkok route will increase from three times a day to four times a day, and the Incheon-Manila route will increase from twice a day to three times a day. The Incheon-Bali route has been expanded from nine times a week to eleven times a week since January 2024.

On its European routes, the airline will resume operations on the Incheon-Zurich route three times a week from April 2nd. The Incheon-Budapest route will increase from three times a week to four times a week.

On the Americas routes, the frequency of flights on the Incheon-Dallas route will increase from four times a week to daily. Dallas is a central city in air traffic in the south-central United States where demand continues to grow.

Korean Air Lines said that its international passenger route supply for the 2024 summer season has recovered to 96 percent of pre-Covid-19 levels based on available seat kilometers (ASK).

“We will continue to increase our passenger routes to fully recover to pre-Covid-19 levels,” a Korean Air Lines official said. “We will also provide differentiated schedules by monitoring seasonal factors and changes in customer demand to enhance customer satisfaction for those traveling abroad.”
