LG Electronics interacts with Silicon Valley startups in open innovation event

LG Electronics Co. recently held an open innovation event with startups and venture capitals in Silicon Valley, the United States.

LG NOVA Innovation Festival 2023 was held on Wednesday and Thursday at The Hibernia in San Francisco under the theme of “Growth Through Innovation.”

A total of 33 Silicon Valley startups joined the event to showcase their ideas with displays and brief presentations called pitching.

The pitching competition in particular was attended by 12 startups across various sectors, from healthcare to clean technology and electrification.

LG Electronics also held Hackathon, an event for WebOS engineers, aiming to foster growth in the WebOS ecosystem as part of the company’s efforts to establish it as a worldwide platform.

“LG NOVA spent the last two years building a strong relationship between innovators and investors, contributing to the rise of new business collaboration,” said Rhee Sok-woo, head of LG NOVA, in a keynote speech.
