Another round of Covid-19 vaccinations for high-risk people began Thursday in South Korea. The influenza vaccine, along with the Covid-19 vaccine, will also be available.

The Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency (KDCA) will provide free Covid-19 vaccinations for all citizens during the winter season between Thursday and March 31, 2024, under the 2023-2024 Covid-19 Vaccination Plan.

Starting Thursday, Covid-19 vaccinations will be initially rolled out to senior citizens aged 65 and older, immunocompromised people aged between 12 and 64, and residents and workers of vulnerable facilities. The remaining public aged between 12 and 64 who are not in the high-risk groups will be able to get vaccinated from November 1, with pre-registration for the vaccine beginning on Wednesday. People can also get vaccinated without an appointment, and the vaccination service will be available at commissioned medical centers and public health centers nationwide.
