South Korea’s top mobile carrier SK telecom Co. said on Friday that its artificial intelligence (AI) app “A. (A dot)” will offer free live broadcasts of all the Korea Basketball League (KBL) games for the 2023-2024 season.
With the KBL officially kicking off its season recently, the wireless carrier created an online fan community within the AI platform in which basketball fans can watch games, with access to information on schedules, real-time scores, and individual player records.
The app will also provide AI-created highlights and short clips, while fans can also join live chats to interact with each other and cheer for their favorite players.
The AI-based app will feature voice recognition. A user can tell the app, “Show me the live games” and select from the available games.
SK telecom plans to provide similar services for the Handball Korea League, whose season beings in November.
