Yuil Robotics Co., a South Korean company specializing in the production of industrial robots, is set to complete a massive factory spanning about 25,740 square meters in Incheon’s Cheongna International City next year, with operations scheduled to commence in 2025.

The company’s CEO, Kim Dong-heon, recently told Maeil Business Newspaper that the company expects its annual revenue to hit 50 billion won ($37 million) in 2025 and potentially surpass 100 billion won by 2026.

Yuil Robotics currently operates two factories in Incheon that are 3,300 square meters and 2,400 square meters in size respectively. The new facility in Cheongna is more than four times larger than the combined size of these two existing factories. The expansion aims to accommodate the increased demand for the mass production of heavy-duty robots, including articulated robots and orthogonal robots, each weighing over 100 kg.

The Cheongna factory also aligns with the Korean government’s efforts to develop a robot industry cluster and create a so-called “Robot Land” in the area, reflecting the growing importance of the robotics sector.

Kim emphasized that Yuil Robotics is the only company in Korea capable of developing and producing all three major industrial robots: articulated robots, collaborative robots, and orthogonal robots. He said that the company possesses the driving force to become the leading robotic company in Korea.

Yuil Robotics has gained recognition for developing and manufacturing gear-based articulated robots of the same quality as those produced by Japan, a country known for its advanced robotics industry. Currently, Yuil Robotics and HD Hyundai Robotics are the only two companies in Korea capable of producing articulated robots weighing over 50 kg.

The company serves over 1,000 clients, both domestically and internationally, making it one of the major players in the industry. In addition to robot manufacturing, Yuil Robotics generates significant revenue through its smart factory solutions, particularly in the field of factory automation systems. Kim said the strategy is to maximize business synergies by combining hardware (robots) and software (smart factory solutions).
