KB Insurance’s new cancer insurance covers seniors, people with chronic diseases

KB Insurance Co. has introduced a new cancer insurance plan targeting customers aged 60 and above, according to the company.

The insurance allows individuals with chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and hyperlipidemia to enroll. The enrollment age starts from 60 to 90, with a choice of 10, 15, or 20-year terms, providing coverage up to a maximum age of 100.

The new product also includes integrated cancer diagnostic benefits, providing up to nine payments for cancer examination expenses based on its nine cancer categories by cancer area. Unlike traditional cancer insurance products that provide payment and discontinue coverage once the customer is diagnosed with cancer, this product allows continued coverage for the primary detection of cancers other than those already paid for and covered under the plan, until the end of the insurance term.

In addition, the product offers customized coverage based on the stages of cancer treatment.
