Hyundai Motor Co.’s luxury brand Genesis announced Thursday that it is the official sponsor of the 28th Busan International Film Festival (BIFF), Asia’s largest film festival that runs until October 13.

BIFF, which kicked off on Wednesday, has been held annually since 1996. Genesis has been a sponsor of the festival for seven consecutive years, starting in 2017, contributing to the development of the Korean and Asian film industries.

During this year’s event, Genesis will provide a total of 110 vehicles, including the G90 Long Wheelbase (LWB) and the G80 electric models, for major film directors, actors, and festival staff.

At the festival’s opening red carpet event, Genesis elevated the festival’s excitement by broadcasting the entrance videos of participants in real-time through the “Genesis Media Tower,” which stood at a height of 8 meters.

Genesis will also display a total of six vehicles inside the Busan Cinema Center until October 12, the day before the festival’s closing ceremony, giving the audience an opportunity to explore various Genesis models.

In the “Genesis Brand Zone” located in the square of the Cinema Center, the GV80 Coupe, which made its debut on September 27, will be exhibited.

Additionally, visitors can enjoy clips from the concert film “OPUS,” featuring the final performance of the world-renowned music director and pianist Ryuichi Sakamoto, in the “G90 Listening Zone,” designed like a drive-in theater.

In line with its participation in the Busan International Film Festival, Genesis is displaying a “G80 Art Car” wrapped with iconic symbols of Busan and the slogan “BUSAN is Ready” to support the bid for the 2030 World Expo in Busan.
