LG Electronics unveils foldable OLED laptop

LG Electronics has launched the LG Gram Fold, a groundbreaking foldable laptop computer and the first of its kind to be introduced by a South Korean brand.

According to the company on Monday, the LG Gram Fold leverages the advantages of self-emissive Organic Light Emitting Diode (OLED) technology, eliminating the need for a backlight and resulting in an incredibly thin and flexible display.

A standout feature of the new laptop is its exceptionally slim profile, with the thickest part of the device measuring just 9.4 millimeters when the screen is unfolded. The display can transition from a 17-inch large screen when fully extended to a compact 12-inch size when folded.

LG Electronics also invested in enhancing connectivity options to complement the changing product dimensions, accommodating users who switch between laptop, tablet, and e-reader modes, which ensures that the LG Gram Fold seamlessly integrates with various peripheral devices. The device also allows users who prefer to fold the laptop screen and work in confined spaces to activate a virtual keyboard on the lower screen, providing a practical solution for on-the-go productivity.
