GnBS eco Co., a South Korean manufacturer of eco-friendly devices, is expanding its presence in the global solar power industry, raising hopes that the company will be able to win many orders amid a rise in new installations.

GnBS eco announced recently that it has signed a deal to supply eco-friendly solar scrubbers worth 1 billion won ($750,000) to a solar power generation facility in Georgia managed by a U.S. solar energy company.

GnBS eco manufactures scrubbers designed to purify harmful substances generated in the production processes of industries such as semiconductors, solar power, and displays.

Scrubbers are particularly essential equipment in solar power generation facilities. The company currently supplies solar scrubber equipment to more than ten countries, including not only Korean solar companies but also those in China, the U.S., and India.

According to GnBS eco, the U.S. solar company with whom it has recently signed a contract is a solar cell manufacturer established by Georgia Institute of Technology’s solar research center, supported by the U.S. Department of Energy.

It owns the largest solar power equipment manufacturing facility in North America and supplies cells, modules, panels, and more to 55 countries.

GnBS eco commands an 80 percent market share in China, the world’s No. 1 solar power generation market. It also counts Indian solar leaders like Adani, Tata, and Wari among its customers.

Last month, the company held a shipment ceremony for its solar-friendly scrubbers for export to India, following a 5.7 billion won contract with Tata Power Solar, a solar panel manufacturer under India’s Tata Group, in March.
