South Korean conglomerates are gearing up to launch new hiring in September, with Samsung Group, renowned for conducting the country’s most extensive open recruitment, poised to give related notification in early September.

According to multiple sources on Sunday, Samsung Group plans to kick off its regular recruitment of new employees for the second half in early September. Interested applicants will be able to apply through Samsung’s recruitment website.

They will undergo a job suitability assessment, the Global Samsung Aptitude Test (GSAT), and job interviews. Samsung Group is the only business group among the country’s four major conglomerates that carries a conventional recruitment system that hires employees regularly.

Samsung Electronics Co. and other major affiliated companies such as Samsung Display Co., Samsung Electro-Mechanics Co., and Samsung SDI Co., are expected to launch new hiring together.

SK Group is also readying recruitment across its main affiliates, including SK innovation Co. and SK hynix Inc.

SK innovation is currently on track to launch its hiring process in September. SK hynix is preparing to roll out recruitment efforts later this year and the scale is projected to surpass that of the first half.

As for SK telecom Co, applications for new positions in domains such as infrastructure and development are being accepted until the end of this month.

Hyundai Motor Co recruits new college graduates in batches on the first day of the last month of each quarter, with a recruitment program planned for September 1. Kia Corp. is slated to conduct its batch recruitment by division during the second half.

LG Chem Ltd. is scheduled to hold a comprehensive recruitment briefing on YouTube on August 31. LG Energy Solutions Ltd. is actively seeking new employees in specialized areas like battery cell development, quality control, and production technology for electric vehicles (EVs), with applications open until September 9.

LG Electronics Inc. will launch in-person recruitment fairs at major universities nationwide next month, commencing with a YouTube-based recruitment briefing on August 30.
