Hyundai Motor Group prioritizes R&D talent to secure future auto tech

Hyundai Motor Group is making efforts to secure technologies for future vehicles in the electrification and the application of cutting-edge technologies by hiring new talent, especially in the research and development (R&D) area in all fields, including software and new materials.

Of the 166 new job postings made by Hyundai Motor Group at the end of June, 76 positions were related to electrification, software and artificial intelligence (AI), accounting for 45.8 percent of the total job postings, according to an analysis by Maeil Business Newspapers on Wednesday.

By research institute within the group, the Institute of Advanced Technology Development (IATD) had 54 job postings, accounting for 32.5 percent of the total. IATD is the group’s R&D arm that specializes in innovative technologies not only for automobiles but for overall future mobility.
