French fashion label Destree, co-founded by Geraldine Guyot-Arnault, a daughter-in-law of Bernard Arnault, chairman of the world’s largest luxury group LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton SE (LVMH), has opened its first pop-up store in South Korea.

According to multiple sources from the fashion industry, the store opened on the third floor of Hyundai Department Store in Samseong-dong, southern Seoul, on Thursday. The offline store will be open until July.

Handsome Corp., a fashion house under the Hyundai Department Store Group, is known to have lured Destree to open the pop-up store.

Destree is a new designer brand that was launched in Paris in 2016. It was co-launched by Geraldine Guyot-Arnault, wife of Tiffany & Co. Senior Vice President Alexandre Arnault, the third son of the LVMH Chairman. She worked with Laetitia Lumbroso, former Christian Dior couture executive.

Destree started as an accessories brand and shifted focus on women’s clothing. The brand introduced its first women’s ready-to-wear collection last year.

Destree captivated fashion lovers with unique design and color in the collection, inspired by contemporary pieces of art, such as handcrafts and sculptures

The brand became well-known in Korea after Hotel Shilla President Lee Boo-jin carried its bag Gunther Passementerie when attending the wedding ceremony of the eldest son of HDC Group Chairman Chung Mong-gyu in February. The signature bag is sold for 900,000 won ($681.82).

Handsome has been offering a wide range of Destree items via its online mall and luxury multi-store.
