LG Household targets Japanese beauty market with derma cosmetics

South Korea’s LG Household & Health Care Co. is aiming to expand its presence in Japan with its derma-cosmetic brand CNP.

The company plans to strengthen its influencer marketing activities and introduce exclusive products tailored for the Japanese market.

LG Household & Healthcare announced Sunday that CNP will be showcasing cherry blossom season products at its first discount event of this year on Japanese online shopping site Qoo10. The products have been jointly designed by Japan’s beauty influencer Akari Yoshida, who has 970,000 subscribers.

CNP also plans to launch a new product line in the Japanese online market soon, including an ampoule containing retinol, a key ingredient known for its effectiveness in wrinkle improvement.
