South Korea’s auto giant Hyundai Motor Group has launched a series of companywide inspections to ensure workplace safety in buildings and production sites that are more than 30 years old.
According to industry sources, the conglomerate has conducted safety inspections at some of its worksites where regular safety assessment is non-mandatory, such as production outposts and administrative warehouses.
The initiatives are part of preventive measures necessary to identify and address potential risks that may cause industrial accidents in older worksites and mitigate the risks, the sources said.
