MOORIM, South Korea’s sole low-carbon paper company, announced its commemoration of the United Nations-designated World Wildlife Day on March 3 through an extensive biodiversity conservation campaign.

The campaign aims to spread awareness about ecosystem conservation through overcoming climate crises and protecting endangered species.

Over the course of March 2-3, a two-day collaboration with Lotte World Aquarium unfolded as part of the company’s marine conservation campaign, where MOORIM in an effort to propagate its ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) values introduced the industry’s first forest and marine ecology space, ‘Paperium,’ specifically designed within the aquarium.

MOORIM showcased an array of educational tools, including videos, leaflets, and pop-up kits, to emphasize the importance of biodiversity conservation, using the occasion to adorn the campaign site with its unique low-carbon paper cups and innovative paper filters developed in collaboration with WISE&YIROP.

The campaign also featured a special event to raise awareness about marine protected species facing extinction, generating significant participation from the public. More than 10,000 attendees joined the event, expressing a growing interest in the conservation of endangered marine life in Korean waters.
