GS Retail’s convenience store chain GS25 will expand its parcel delivery service, Half-Price Delivery, to Ulleungdo, Yeonpyeongdo, and Baengnyeongdo from March 25th, 2024, onwards. The move to extend its delivery service to remote islands is a pioneering initiative within the industry.

Half-Price Delivery, introduced by GS25 in 2019, was the first of its kind in the industry that leveraged the company’s own logistics infrastructure nationwide. The service operates through GS25 stores for parcel dispatch and receipt, offering delivery rates at half the price of regular courier services.

Driven by demand exceeding 10 million parcels annually and totaling over 30 million parcels cumulatively, GS25 decided to expand its Half-Price Delivery service beyond the existing ‘inland-to-inland’ routes. This latest move further broadens the service coverage following the initial expansion to include deliveries from Jeju to the mainland in October 2023.

“With the addition of delivery service to Ulleungdo, Yeonpyeongdo, and Baengnyeongdo, virtually all regions within the country’s living zones are now covered by our Half-Price Delivery service, accessible via GS25 stores nationwide except Marado,” a company spokesperson said.
