KT partners with Daedong to expand robotics services

KT Corp. continues its push to enter the robotics field as the mobile carrier aims to seize opportunities beyond the telecommunications sector by leveraging its experience and expertise in information and communication technology (ICT).

The company recently announced that it signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with agricultural machinery company Daedong Corp. The collaboration’s focus will be on developing artificial intelligence-driven services and robots for the agricultural industry.

The agreement was inked on Friday as the duo commits to collaborate in various fields, including developing AI agricultural robotic systems and fostering the robot business in both the agricultural and non-agricultural domains.

KT also recently nabbed a partnership with Novatech Corp. to create a robotics-based logistics platform in addition to the recent agreement.
