POSCO Group’s new leader has embarked on site visits during his first 100 days in office. The first production site the new chairman visited as part of the journey was the steelmaking facilities at the Pohang Steel Works, which suffered damage from Typhoon Hinnamnor but fully recovered 100 days after the damage.

In a statement released by POSCO Group on Sunday, Chairman Chang In-hwa commenced his first site visit to the typhoon-hit factories at Pohang Steel Works in the southern port city of Pohang, North Gyeongsang Province, and encouraged employees there to keep up the good work.

As POSCO Group’s 10th chairman, Chang assumed office on Thursday and promised to tour the group‘s major business sites over the next 100 days. He said he would listen to employees’ wants and make the necessary improvements promptly.

Following his inauguration ceremony at POSCO’s Pohang headquarters on Thursday, Chang visited the Pohang Steel Works on Friday and will visit the Gwangyang Steel Works and facilities at POSCO Future M Co. on March 26th, 2024. He will continue his on-site visits to Pohang, Gwangyang, and Songdo until June 28th, 2024, which is his 100th day in office.
