This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Mission and Installation Contracting Command, Fort Gordon, GA intends to award asole-source contract to JEOL to provide annual maintenance and repair agreementfor the following items for Defense Forensic Science Center at Fort Gillem, GA: JSM-IT300LV Service PlanJMS-T100LP Service Plan JEOL is the only sole provider of service and sales for their products. The NAICScode for this requirement is 811219 A determination not to compete this requirementwas made pursuant to 10 USC 2304(c)(1), Only One Responsible Source. TheGovernment intends to procure this sole source requirement under SimplifiedAcquisition Procedures in FAR Part 13 and Commercial Procedures in FAR Part 12.THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS and a solicitation will not be issued. This award is for a period of performance of a base year plus two option years. Interested concerns must show clear and convincing evidence that competition of this requirement would be advantageous to the Government. If no affirmative written responses are received by 0700 hrs 2 January, 2018, an award will be made without further notice. Oral communications are not acceptable inresponse to this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement is solely within the discretion of the Government.
